An indicia is a printed permit imprint and is used by the USPS to automatically pay for postage (rather than using stamps or meter strips). A permit imprint can be used for all classes of mail, however, every piece in the mailing must be the same weight.
Coastal Printing has our own permit imprint account which we offer to our customers for their mailing projects. We keep the account funded so we can quickly turn-a-round small projects. However, for larger projects (postage costs of over $500) we require postage funding from our customers before we deliver the mail to the USPS.
The USPS has many rules around the use of indicias and permit imprints and we have experts that can guide you through all of these rules so that you get your postage at the lowest price based upon the speed of service you want to use.
Talk to Coastal Printing before you start your next mailing project so that we can review the design, size and paper weights to optimize your printed piece SO YOU CAN SEND YOUR MAIL AT THE BEST PRICES AVAILABLE.
