Customer Service Support Specialist
As Coastal Printing continues to grow and change we are in need of a Customer Service Support Specialist. This role in our organization will be a hybrid between a customer service representative and an estimator.
Coastal Printing is a full service commercial printing company offering sheet-fed offset printing and digital printing services. We also offer mailing, print-on-demand, web-to-print, warehouse (Pick & Pack) and promotional products. In addition we have a full service bindery with cutting, folding, die-cutting/embossing/foil-stamping, UV coating, film lamination, auto pocket-folder fold & gluing, and saddle-stitching.
The candidate must be knowledgeable in all aspects of what we can produce at Coastal Printing (off the above listed services), and be able to build both simple and complex estimates. After building the estimate the CSSS would then prepare a letter of quote and send it to the customer. Upon acceptance the CSSS would then convert the estimate to a job and be responsible for managing the job through to completion.
In addition to directly handing jobs, the CSSS would act as a “sweeper” for our less experienced customer service representatives, supporting them by producing complex estimates for them and teaching the customer service team how to produce complex estimates for the future; as the goal is to convert each CSR into a CSSS over a period of six to 12 months.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, with patience and the ability to teach others. She/he will also be very strong in math and have a very good work knowledge of MS Excel and be familiar with not only how to use Computer-Assisted Estimating, but will be have experience setting up cost centers, adding paper and changing other parts of the CAE system also.
Bottom line this person will be a self motivated, enthusiastic, go getter, who can handle the stress of managing jobs through completion, while supporting our customer service and sales teams exceed their goals.
The candidate would ideally have a degree in business or a related discipline with a minimum of five years experience in an estimating or customer service role (using computer-aided estimating) that would enable him/her to be able to complete the tasks described above.
